A piece that was quite a while in the making, overdue to be posted.  It was asked that it reflect the specialties of Hunterdon County through dragonflies, hot air balloons, fireworks, owls, and a riverbank of course.

 Concinnity
(Gifted; prints available)

So excited by the iridescent medium Windsor & Newton has put out!

This was a "thank you" for the very generous gift of a piano I received from the beau's family, hence the music notes.  His mother is a Philosophy professor, so I knew I had to come up with a wonderfully conceptual name such as "concinnity," which is the idea of harmonious arrangements of parts within a whole.  The relevance of the young boy fishing is that Kevin is an avid fisherman, as was his father.

From the brush of freedom: Ancient Wind

Ancient wind
(Sold; prints available)

This is the first substantial piece I've done that has deviated from "The Redhead and the Sea" series, and I suppose it wasn't by accident that it wound up being a colorful, loose depiction of Arabian horses. When I was a kid, I wrote a poem in which I described horses as "the physical manifestation of freedom," and I suppose it represents how I feel most days, as I continue to move away from my self-destructive vices.
